Salmon Pioneer Primary School is always looking for good, reliable volunteers to work with our students. Some areas in which we use volunteers include, but is not limited to, reading with students, reinforcing math concepts or skills, supervising students on the playground or during lunch, or chaperoning students on field trips. Many of our present volunteers assist teachers in the classroom after instruction has been delivered to the entire class. We would welcome volunteers and it is wonderful that RSVP has agreed to pay for the background check and fingerprinting required by the state for persons volunteering in our school. RSVP is excited to partner with the Salmon Pioneer Primary School. There are so many fun and exciting things volunteers can do to help out the school. Principal Sue Rodgers is currently working on some narrative information that will help describe some volunteer opportunities. RSVP has agreed to help pay for the $60 background check required for school volunteers who are over the age of 55. We realize that funds are tight for all school districts and especially for the Salmon Public Schools. RSVP isn't able to provide the background check fees for casual volunteers who only serve now and then. However, we want to make it possible to help with the background check for volunteers who are ready, willing and able to step forward with energy, enthusiasm and excitement about volunteering at the school.
